Partnered with Lance Zierlein from 7 – 9am, Granato then joins Raheel Ramzanali and Del Olaleye until 11am each morning. ![]() Granato is featured weekdays from 7 – 11am on ESPN 97.5. After a ten-year run on Sports Radio 610, he helped launch 1560 The Game in 2007, which would eventually become ESPN 97.5. Granato has been a Houston sports radio staple for decades. “John and Nate are two of the most respected and knowledgeable broadcasters in the market, and we’re excited to have them in the booth calling Roughnecks games in 2020.” “Our partnership with Gow Media and ESPN 97.5 will help us build our fanbase and connect with the community,” Roughnecks President Brian Michael Cooper said in the press release. Granato will be joined in the booth by KRIV-TV sports reporter Nate Griffin who will provide analysis. The news isn’t a surprise after ESPN 97.5 morning host John Granato was announced as the Roughnecks radio play-by-play voice a few weeks ago. ESPN 97.5 will carry all home and road contests for the Roughnecks, along with offering listeners pre and postgame coverage. The Houston Roughnecks announced a partnership with Gow Media, making ESPN 97.5 their flagship radio station for the XFL’s inaugural 2020 season.
